In the language of her homeland, Mika's name is written with the character for Moon and the character for Mirror. Those who know her well call her Mika, but those who know of her through stories of her power call her Mirrormoon.
Mika is stranded far from home. She met Torinn on the night she was assisting her master cast a Portal ritual and things went awry. Mika fell through a misaligned Portal and emerged through the teleportation circle in the Temple of Bahamut. Torinn had drawn guard duty for the circle on that fateful night.
None of Mika's attempts to contact her Homelands through magical means have been successful. It remains unclear to her how participation in the ritual could have resulted in this accidental spatial shift. She has gone over the series of magical events over and over in her mind and she cannot explain how she could have possibly ended up on the other side of the world. But, since there is no arguing with the reality of the situation she's settled into her new circumstances.
The Temple of Bahamut has adopted Mika as their consultant on things arcane and in return for room, board and support for some of her magical research into a way home she helps out with various errands.
